CUB SCOUT PACK 101, ELIZABETH, NJ

Welcome...

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 101's website.  We hope it offers the information you need to understand Cub Scouting.  Cub Scouts are a branch of the Boy Scouts of America for younger children, generally the ages of 7 to 11 years old.

We also give you a feeling for the activities of Pack 101 in Elizabeth,
NJ.  Pack 101 is a predominantly Portuguese Pack, as our sponsoring
organization, Our Lady of Fatima Church, located on Spring St., in Elizabeth, hosts a Portuguese congregation. Therefore, the majority of our boys and their families are bilingual.  The Church also sponsors an affiliate Tiger Pack and Boy Scout Troop 101.
The Troop and Pack were founded by a group of individuals of Portuguese descent about 35 years ago. The Pack's first Cubmaster was Mr. Mario Serra and our second and current Cubmaster is Mr. Jose Pinho, who has been with the Pack for close to 30 years.  About 15 years ago, 101 also added Tiger Scouts headed by Ms. Lidia Maio.  Tigers are boys, generally in the first grade.

We are extremely proud of our accomplishments to date. We  have
trained young boys to be good citizens who are strong in character and
personally fit.  We have also helped young boys develop skills they will use throughout life.
